The Queer Porn Film Festival was beyond rad. Films with trans women, trans men, fat bodies, all different color bodies, doing all sorts of yummy, curious, and funny things.

• 2:02 – Dawn went to the Queer Porn Film Festival in Brooklyn.
• 2:24 – Jiz Lee is so hot Dawn freaked out and ran away. Jiz is also really sweet and knowledgable about the porn industry.
• 3:19 – Fan girl moment means Dawn didn’t get to have a real conversation with Jiz. More like a hit-and-run.

• 4:33 – Some of the festival was to shine a spotlight on porn that is normally excluded or overlooked by the Feminist Porn Awards – in other words, trans folks.
• 4:51 – Courtney Trouble’s production company is one of the only ones to really embrace trans women.
• 6:55 – One of the films, Dyke March, was of two lesbians getting it on at the Pride parade. It wasn’t until late in the film that Dawn realized one of the women was a trans woman – Chelsea Poe. It was awesome. You can buy the clip on TransGrrrls.
• 8:45 – Trans men being all badass and bossy and muscular in Pigfucker.
• 10:30 – Dawn loves sensual films, and the two most sensual ones from the festival were films starring gay guys.

• 13:35 – So many different kinds of porn. Most didn’t turn Dawn on, but all were interesting and honest in their perspectives.
• 14:18 – Jiz was in a film alled Graphic Depictions by Stoya that was sensual and artistic.
• 14:36 – Many of the films had safer sex items being used like dental dams, gloves, condoms, and more.
• 15:00 – One of the most awesome parts of the festival was seeing trans women engaging in sex on their terms, doing it the way they wanted to experience it, and that’s not something you’ll find in mainstream.
• 15:18 – If you want to find ethical and inclusive porn, check out CrashPad, PinkLabel.tv, Courtney Trouble, and CineSinclaire.
• 15:42 – Tobi Hill-Meyer’s film Money Shot Blues is all about the come shots in She-Male porn and how to fake it.
• 16:41 – Everyone should make DIY Porn, even if no one ever sees it. Use it to empower you and tell your sexual story, make what turns you on. It’s on Dawn’s To Do list.
• 17:08 – Did you know it’s technically illegal to make porn in all but two states in the U.S.?
• 19:32 – Dawn is shocked to learn the truth about casting for intimate porn films.
• 20:46 – Courtney Trouble’s warning to the audience about commenting on the actors was AMAZING.

• 24:46 – If you want porn that features different types of people or different themes, then you need to start paying for it. The porn industry goes after consumer interest – so if you start paying for a certain kind of porn, mainstream companies will start moving in that direction which increases access and more free stuff in that area becomes available.
